5600 SERIES OPS INK

Properties
Fast drying. Excellent adhesion. Chemical resistance.Pre-treated polyolefine sheets & bottles. Coated metal.

INTRODUCTIONS
5600 SERIES OPS INK is evaporative drying type of ink for polyolefin such as PP.

APPLICATIONS
Treated PP sheet, untreated PP sheet, rigid polyolefin such as treated PE bottles, primed metal. (PP=polypropylene,PE=polyethylene)

CHARACTERISTICS
Good adhesion to polyolefin.
Ink film is tough and resistant to abrasion.
Excellent resistance to oil, alcohol and chemicals.
Good resistance to water and humidity.

HOW TO USE
Add THINNER(#170 standard drying, #200 slow drying or #250 retarder) and mix well before print.
It is advised to do pre-treatment such as corona discharge or flame treatment for polyolefin. Adhesion is improved.

DRYING
THINNER is added by 10% and the mixture is printed on PP sheet.

  • #170 : Tack-free time, Approx.10 minutes (20°C)(68°F)
  • #200 : Tack-free time, Approx.15 minutes (20°C)(68°F)
  • #250 : Tack-free time, Approx.20 minutes (20°C)(68°F)

The ink dries completely by forced drying(60°C(140°F), within 5 minutes). It is advised to do forced drying as better adhesion can be obtained.

WASHING UP
Use #150 fast drying thinner (or VINYL CLEANING THINNER).

LIGHTFASTNESS
7-8 grades (Please refer to lightfastness chart)

COLORS & TYPE OF PACKING
Standard 16 colors. 1kg can.

PRECAUTIONS
 – 5600 SERIES does not adhere well to untreated PP. When the material is untreated PP, add JA-P16 to the ink by 5-10%. Although adhesion is improve by additng JA-P16, printability and gloss degrade.
 – 5600 SERIES OPS INK is not suitable to print on flexible polyolefin such as polyethylene film or foamed styrene.
 – When the sufficient adhesion or properties cannot be obtained by 5600 SERIES in the industrial applications, use 1000 SERIES EPILITE INK or 2000 SERIES AP INK or APG INK after pre-treating the substrate by flame or corona discharge.
 – Please refer to MSDS before use.
 – Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
